At AdventureLife Media Services (PTY) Ltd and its smaller brands, Harties Trail Experience and Berg 'n Bean, we are committed to providing our customers with a positive shopping experience. Our return policy sets out the way we handle returns in accordance with South African law.

 

What items can be returned?

Our customers can return any product that is defective, damaged, or not as described on our website. We do not accept returns for products that are not needed or wanted, despite products are unused and in their original packaging.

 

How to initiate a return

To initiate a return, customers should contact our customer service team at contact@adventurelifesa.com within 7 days of receiving the product. They will be asked to provide a reason for the return and to provide proof of purchase. Our customer service team will then assist them with the return process.

 

Return shipping

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the product to us. We recommend that they use a secure and traceable shipping method to ensure that the product is returned safely.

 

Refunds

Should the product not be suitable for repair from our suppliers, we will process a refund for the purchase price of the product, including any taxes, within 14 days of hearing about the status of the product. Refunds will be made to in the form of credit or a Gift Card from the website.

 

Exceptions to our return policy

Our return policy does not apply to products that have been damaged due to customer misuse or abuse, or products that have been altered or modified in any way.

Mass Participation Event Indemnity

Welcome to the Harties Trail Experience, a 5 part trail running series that takes place across various locations. Please read this notice carefully before participating in the event.

I acknowledge that participating in trail running events involves certain inherent risks and dangers, including but not limited to:

• tripping, slipping, falling or other similar accidents;

• getting lost or separated from the trail or the group;

• encountering natural hazards such as wild animals, steep or uneven terrain, rocks, roots, and other obstacles;

• experiencing adverse weather conditions or other environmental factors;

• experiencing health problems or injuries, both minor and severe, such as sprains, fractures, or heart attacks.

I hereby confirm that I have considered these risks and voluntarily choose to participate in the Harties Trail Experience, fully assuming all risks and dangers associated with it. I understand that the Event is conducted over public and/or private land and that the Event organizers and/or land owners have taken reasonable steps to ensure the safety of participants, but cannot guarantee my safety or prevent all accidents from occurring.

I hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the organizers of the Harties Trail Experience, the land owners, and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, damages, expenses, or liabilities (including legal fees and costs) arising from or related to my participation in the Event, including but not limited to:

• personal injury or death;

• loss or damage of personal property;

• any other harm or loss caused by my own negligence or reckless conduct.

By choosing to enter the Harties Trail Experience, I acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this indemnity notice. This indemnity notice shall be binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns.

If I do not agree to the terms and conditions of this indemnity notice, I shall not participate in the Harties Trail Experience.
