Another year, another season of epic trails, big climbs, and a whole lot of fun. The Harties Trail Experience 2025 is back for its third year, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome you all back to the start line.
It’s been incredible to see how this series has grown, with runners coming back year after year, pushing their limits, and embracing the adventure. Myself, Terence Vrugtman, and Thomas van Tonder are beyond stoked to get things going again—and we’ve got a few exciting updates in store for 2025.
Harties Trail Experience 2025 - New Year, New Format
We’re still bringing you four races this season, but we’ve switched things up to keep it fresh. This year, two of our biggest events—the Poffader Trail Run and the Magalies Challenge—have been combined into one massive new event: the Harties Trail Fest.
It’s also the first time we’re introducing a marathon distance outside of the Harties Loop. So, if you’ve been waiting for that extra challenge, this is your year.
Here’s what the 2025 lineup looks like:
The season opener. A mix of fast-flowing trails, technical climbs, and some of the best scenery in the Magaliesberg. With 6KM, 12KM, and 21KM distances, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking for a fun run or a serious test of endurance.
New for 2025! This event combines two classic races into one huge trail experience. Expect a mix of punchy climbs, flowing singletrack, and challenging terrain across multiple distances: 6KM, 12KM, 21KM, and the brand-new 42KM marathon.
The big one. Our signature ultra-event, pushing runners to their absolute limits. With 12KM, 21KM, 42KM, and the legendary 80KM course, this is where the toughest trail runners come to test themselves.
